Dear colleague,

I hope this message finds you well.

We are writing to you as a former staff member of ESO now drawing their pension, or a spouse of a staff member in receipt of a pension.

We are very pleased to tell you that ESO will be hosting again an ‘’ESO Pensioner’s Day’’ on Thursday, 25th September of 2025, to which you are warmly invited.

This will be held once more at our Garching HQ. There will be a remote connection option for those who cannot attend in person and who would like to hear the presentations, and these will also be made available afterwards.

We are finalizing the agenda which will include a lunch, a presentation from the DG, and the two new Directors who have joined us recently (Director for Science, Jarle Brinchmann and Director of Engineering, Sara Krauss). We plan to send you the agenda and topics we will be covering in the coming days with the request at that point for you to RSVP so that we can organise the catering.

The last event in 2023 was reported to be a very nice occasion to meet old friends and catch up with former and current colleagues still at ESO. We do hope you will be able to join us.
